Darmstadt, chartered as a city by Holy Roman Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian in 1330, was once the residence of the Count of Katzenelnbogen. Initially known as Darmstait, it featured a modest castle, later replaced by a grander structure. Today, Darmstadt proudly bears the title "City of Science," reflecting its status as a hub for scientific research, universities, and high-tech industries. This designation, granted in 1997 by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, highlights the city's national and international significance in science.

Our 208 stylish rooms are designed to make you feel at home. Spread across four floors, each room features soundproof windows that ensure a peaceful stay, even in our central city location. Every room features an en-suite bathroom, comfortable beds, and free Wi-Fi. Additional amenities include a laundry service (for a fee), luggage service and storage, room service, and an iron and ironing board upon request. Guests can check in from 3:00 pm and check out by 12:00 pm, and pets are welcome for an additional €20 per night.
