If you are planning to do a day trip in surrounding areas as to world Heritage „Grube Messel“ or Frankenstein castle, the Welcome Hotel Darmstadt is the perfect stay.
In between sightseeing or meeting you can relax in one of our 208 charmingly furnished rooms or visit our 130 sqm softwellness area. For food and drinks we have 2 inhouse restaurants with beautiful outside seating for warm evenings.
Even though the hotel is located in the city center parking is no problem. We are connected to the public garage Q-Park „Schlossgarage“. The elevator will bring you easily to the lobby.
From May 16 - 19, the Schlossgrabenfest will once again take place in Darmstadt's city center as Hessen's largest music festival. More than 60 bands will perform on 3 stages around the Residenzschloss, and there will be culinary specialties from all over the world at around 140 stands.
The entire festival area is cordoned off and access to the Welcome Hotel Darmstadt is only possible from 3 p.m. onwards with a ticket or hotel booking confirmation.
Access by car to the hotel area of the Karolinenplatz underground car park is via the underground car park of the darmstadtium congress center. If you arrive by cab, please use the access road via Alexanderstraße (main building TU-Darmstadt).
It is important that you can identify yourself at the entrances and access roads to the festival grounds by means of a hotel booking confirmation.

We have already completed half of the renovation and plan to finish the last room by the end of April. You can look forward to a completely new experience during your stay!

The room size variies between 21 and 34 sqm depending the category. Despite the inner city location you can enjoy the silence thanks tot he soundproof windows.
With our large buffet breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired, you can start your day right. If the weather is good enough you can enjoy breakfast outside with a nice view into „Herrngarten“.
For dinner or to end the day with a cool drin, you have the perfect view oft he beautiful sunset over Darmstadt in the Moller. The seasonally changing menu has something for everyone from small to big appetites.
For your events, whether professional or private, the Welcome Hotel Darmstadt City Center has 5 light-flooded, technically modern and flexibly combinable conference rooms with a total area of approx. 400 m². We would be happy to plan together with you so that your event will be a success.

The historical state archive, the castle and the Hessian State Museum are right in front oft he Welcome Hotel Darmstadt City Center. You do not have to walk far for a look into the countryside either. The „Herrengarten“ park is adjacent tot he hotel.
Thanky to the central location, you can also leave you car behind for a stroll through the city: you only have to cross the street to get tot he city centre. There you will find various shopping opportunities and may restaurants and bars.
Student life begins behind the hotel. On the one hand one of the complexed of the Technical University of Darmstadt and the library is located here, on the other hand the „Martinsviertel“ is characterized by many pubs and bars.
