Hotel Residenzschloss is a classic hotel in the best sense of the word. An impressive building in a quiet location a short walk from the old city centre and very close to the concert hall. The hotel has nice and traditionally furnished rooms, which are quite big (also the standard rooms) providing a sofa for relaxation and a decent writing desk. I found it great that the hotel has a special room for ironing with a super board and iron. That's a much better solution than having poor-quality ironing equipment in every room.
Breakfast was super and the breakfast restaurant is nice (and quiet if you're an early bird).
Dinner at the Restaurant Fürstbischof von Erthal was good and the staff attentive, it is however not a place where you as a single traveller will come to meet new people.
