Nordsternpark
Nature meets industrial heritage
Nordsternpark was created on the site of a former coal mine and is now one of the most beautiful recreational areas in the Ruhr region. Walking paths, cycle routes and playgrounds make it ideal for a break in the countryside. A highlight is the viewing platform of the Nordstern Tower, from where you can enjoy a sweeping view over the city. The imposing Hercules statue on the tower is a real landmark.
