The World Culture Run (abbreviated WKEL) is a street and public run in Bamberg. It has been held every two years since 2003 (usually on the first Sunday in May); the 9th WKEL took place on 5 May 2019. The running routes lead, among other things, through Bamberg's old town, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. The running event is hosted and organised by the Weltkulturerbelauf Bamberg e. V. in cooperation with the city of Bamberg. In terms of course profile, it is one of the most demanding of the major half marathons in Germany. The programme also includes two shorter races over 4.4 and 10.9 km and, since 2005, two well-attended races for schoolchildren over 4.1 and 1.6 km and a bambini race (800 m).

The Bamberg Wine Festival returns to the Maxplatz! On the long Whitsun weekend, you can once again celebrate, chat, flirt, enjoy, dance and enjoy. Our Franconian winegrowers have exquisite Franconian wines in their luggage. There will also be plenty of culinary delights on offer to accompany the Franconian wines. The wine festival stage will once again play a colourful mix of sounds from all genres...

Bamberg zaubert is a multi-day international street and variety festival in Bamberg.

It was founded in 1999 by the Magic Friends of Bamberg, the local chapter of the Magic Circle of Germany and the then city manager. Since then, Bamberg zaubert has taken place annually on the third weekend in July in Bamberg's city centre. With over 200,000 visitors according to the organisers, Bamberg zaubert is one of the largest admission-free street and cabaret festivals in Germany. All visitors, regardless of their financial circumstances, have the opportunity to experience the diversity of street art and variety shows.

The highlight of the festival days are the Magic Nights, when highlights from magic, artistry and fire art are performed on the main stage on Maximiliansplatz in Bamberg. In the early afternoon of the festival Saturday, the focus is on promoting young artists with the young talent show.

The Blues & Jazz Festival Bamberg is an annual music festival held in August in Bamberg, Upper Franconia. Both regional and internationally renowned artists perform.

The festival has been held annually in the first half of August in Bamberg since 2007. It was initiated by Stadtmarketing Bamberg e.V. In 2022, over 150,000 visitors came to Bamberg's city centre over ten days to experience over 50 bands. In recent years, the festival has developed into the largest admission-free open-air blues and jazz festival in Europe.

The Sandkerwa (Sandkirchweih in high German) is a traditional Bamberg folk festival that takes place every year in August in the historic old town - more precisely in the Sand, i.e. around Sandstraße. Every year it attracts around 200,000 visitors over five days (Thursday to Monday), making it Bamberg's largest folk festival and one of the biggest in Bavaria.
